Situated on a quiet street in close proximity to Windmill Hill Golf Centre, this detached family home is ideal for those looking for a slightly slower pace of life.
As you approach this house the first thing you notice is the amount of parking available on the block-paved driveway, which can easily fit three cars side by side. The central entrance hall is the ideal place to take off coats and shoes before entering the rest of the house. There is a WC on the left which has been tiled in white subway tiles, and also has a heated towel rail.
To the right of the entrance hall is the kitchen. A separate utility area gives space to tackle the laundry for the family with the worktop proving particularly useful. A door from here leads out to the side of the house which is convenient in wet weather so muddy footprints can easily be cleaned from the tiled floor, instead of the carpeted hallway. The kitchen itself is bright thanks to the large window, and has plenty of worktop space. There is space for a fridge/freezer and dishwasher, as well as a fitted gas hob and electric oven. Perfect for families, there is lots of cupboard space available along with ten drawers.
Through the kitchen is the separate dining room, where you get a first glimpse of the stunning rear garden. This space is big enough for an 8-seater dining table as shown by the current owners. The living room runs front to back on the left side of the house, and, thanks to the separate dining room, you can dedicate this solely to your furniture meaning the whole family can sit together. There is a gas fireplace and sliding doors which lead to the conservatory. The conservatory has central heating so can be used all year round, but the warmer months are really when it comes into its own due to the views on to the mature garden. It’s the ideal place to sit and watch children enjoying the outside space.
You can tell a lot of time and effort have gone into maintaining the garden, from the condition of the grass to the Japanese-style rock pool. There is a large shed for all your gardening tools, as well as a patio area for a table and chairs. The garage is accessed via the garden and would be perfect to convert to an outside space (stpp), or you could simply use it as storage. Either way, it is a welcome addition to this lovely family home.
As you walk upstairs, the master bedroom is immediately on the left. It is wonderfully bright and airy thanks to the large windows which overlook the garden and provide a nice view to wake up to. There is a build-in wardrobe but also plenty of space for freestanding wardrobes too. The fourth bedroom is next to the master making it ideal for the youngest child or as a home office/dressing room like the current owners, if you didn’t need all four bedrooms. Due to its shape, it can fit a double bed if you were to remove the fitted wardrobes.
Back onto the landing and the family bathroom is on the left hand side. It is fully tiled and has a separate shower cubicle as well as a bath. The floor is tiled and you’ll be pleased to hear there is a heated towel rail and all-important window. As the two further bedrooms are this side of the house, it creates a natural privacy for older children. Both bedrooms can fit a double bed, although the current occupants have opted for desk space instead, showing how comfortable each room is.
